Ni-P process selection overview
View the three process types separately. Phosphorus content is one selection factor; substrate, coating thickness, service environment and heat treatment conditions still need to be confirmed.
Low-phosphorus electroless nickel
Focus on as-plated hardness, wear resistance and low resistance; includes low-temperature low-P, ultra-low-P and the extremely-low-P continuous type.
View the low-P electroless nickel page ↗Mid-phosphorus electroless nickel
Balancing wear resistance, corrosion resistance and line conditions; selected by electronics, aluminum and general applications, plus the temperature-adjustable type.
View the mid-P electroless nickel page ↗High-phosphorus electroless nickel
Focus on corrosion resistance and functional coatings; view process parameters per product, the aluminum part test case and the temperature-adjustable type cross-range note.
View the high-P electroless nickel page ↗General technical data & historical data notes
The above are coating data from technical data. After heat treatment at 300°C for 3 hours, the technical data marks low-P as HV>950 and mid/high-P as HV>800 under the same conditions. The 100 h salt spray table on the properties pages is a historical comparison test; the 1000-hour salt spray claim in this product's technical data is limited to specific processes and thicknesses, and the relevant standard, substrate, treatment and pass criteria require engineers' written confirmation and cannot serve as a uniform guarantee for any workpiece.
Steel, stainless steel, copper and aluminum alloy parts; special substrates such as ceramics and plastics require separate verification of pretreatment and adhesion.
Parameters from different eras and grades cannot replace one another. Current chemical process conditions follow the process data of the three separate series pages.
